Betsy Kelly Banchik is a Managing Partner with GiveProsperly, offering both creative consulting and auctioneering services for clients. An inherently creative strategist, Betsy provides a unique blend of analytical aptitude and creative flair in developing business development strategies for profit and non-profit entities. Betsy honed her skills as a compelling and dynamic auctioneer through her training in both theater and law. Captivating audiences with her commanding presence and persuasive communication, Betsy's rapid, articulate speech and high-energy demeanor make her a natural fit to run the room!
Prior to founding GiveProsperly, Betsy was a partner in the New York office of a national law firm, where her practice focused on litigation and risk management for multiple high-profile defendants both nationally and internationally. Her inherent creativity always found its outlet through her firms’ marketing and business development initiatives and she was regularly invited to present at national conferences.
She obtained her B.F.A. from the University of Mississippi, and spent a year performing with a regional Equity theatre company before going to law school. During law school, she served as executive editor of the law review and was chair of the moot court board. She earned multiple national accolades for her oral advocacy skills at moot court competitions across the country, and was recognized as one of the best oralists in the country at the Andrews Kurth National Moot Court Championship. Despite her southern upbringing, her vocal cadence always resonated more with her northern counterparts and in 2017, she was recruited to New York to work on an emerging area of litigation with the risk management team for a multinational consumer products corporation.
